About the role#
As an IT Support Co-op, you will provide hands-on technical support to Svante employees. You will help maintain the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of our IT environment. This role involves working across our corporate and manufacturing settings, collaborating with the IT team and other departments to support technology enablement.
What you'll do#
- Triage and manage support tickets to meet established Service Level Objectives.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end users.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks, including user account administration, mailbox management, and laptop imaging.
- Maintain IT assets and infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and meeting room technology.
- Support corporate security, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and Knowledge Base articles.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure services, and Active Directory.
- Understanding of networking concepts like VLANs, routing, and switching.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests at once.
- Previous experience in technical support, help desk, or systems administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products, firewalls, and endpoint deployment is an asset.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, AZ-104, or Microsoft Windows Server credentials are a plus.

- Location: Burnaby, British Columbia.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Term: Winter and Summer 2027 (January 2027 to August 2027).
- Compensation: CAD $3,200 - $4,100 per month.
