Water/Waste Water Intern - Engineer

About the role#

Sundt Construction is seeking a Water/Waste Water Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience on construction projects. This internship offers the opportunity to participate in the various technical and administrative activities required to build large-scale projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist with project record keeping, cost control, and schedule checking.
• Prepare shop drawings, submittal logs, and quantity take-offs.
• Support safety inspections and report preparation.
• Attend bid openings and conferences, including taking notes and completing necessary forms.
• Assist with field tasks such as surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing corrections.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Support site operations, which may include working as a helper or technician assistant.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A high degree of curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to wear and utilize required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and lifting objects as required by a construction site environment.
