Building Group Intern - Engineer

About the role#

Sundt Construction is seeking a Building Group Intern to support engineering and construction management projects. This internship provides hands-on experience in the construction industry, offering exposure to the daily operations and technical tasks required to successfully deliver building projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist with project record keeping, shop drawing preparation, and cost control records.
• Support report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging.
• Perform surveying, testing, sample collection, and drawing corrections.
• Monitor schedules, inventory, and subcontractor activities.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Assist with time keeping and general administrative tasks.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Industrial).
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• A curious mindset with a willingness to learn and work in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all safety standards.
