Renewable Division Intern - Engineer

About the role#

Sundt Construction is seeking a Renewable Division Intern to support engineering and construction management operations. This role provides exposure to challenging projects and the opportunity to participate in the various activities required to successfully build large-scale projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist with project record keeping, preparation of shop drawings, and maintenance of cost control records.
• Support report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging and processing.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors and sub-contractors to request proposals.
• Participate in site activities including surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction, and filing.
• Assist with timekeeping, inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and conferences to take notes, maintain records, and complete forms.
• Observe and report on meeting results and conduct site tours for visitors.
• Perform duties as a manual laborer, helper, or technician assistant as needed.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a four-year Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering program.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• A curious mindset with a willingness to learn and engage in hands-on work.
• Ability to work as a team player and take on various project challenges.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hardhats, and vests.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift objects as required by site conditions.
