About the role#
As a software engineering intern at Stripe, you will function as a full member of your team. You will own problems from start to finish with guidance from your manager. This role involves working on projects that impact how millions of businesses operate. You will ship code to production and gain insight into the global economy.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the codebase and engage in technical design processes.
- Write production software that impacts Stripe users.
- Participate in code reviews to give and receive technical feedback.
- Coordinate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Use AI tooling to accelerate development and communicate work status clearly.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Javascript, Go, or Scala.
- Experience from previous internships or multi-person projects.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship.
- Capacity to use AI tools for development while applying critical judgment.
