About the role#
Strik, Baldinelli, Moniz, Ltd. is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our London office. This is a 16-month, full-time, paid internship. You will work within our commercial and residential building design divisions, assisting with subdivisions, site developments, and municipal projects. The role runs from May 2027 through August 2028.
What you'll do#
- Prepare civil engineering designs and documents to meet project requirements.
- Learn design guidelines, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to reach project milestones.
- Accept technical guidance from senior staff, designers, and technologists.
- Coordinate civil aspects of projects with other design disciplines.
- Assist with tender and contract documents.
- Conduct site investigations and general reviews of construction, including writing field reports.
- Support projects from the preliminary design stage through to completion.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian university and remain enrolled.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and the MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- A commitment to professional and personal growth.
- Experience with the Ontario Building Code, provincial design guidelines, and local municipal standards is an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: London, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm.
