About the role#
The Product Design Office (PDO) User Experience (UX) Design Internship at Stellantis offers an opportunity to work on project-oriented assignments within our Design department. You will work alongside experienced designers, engineers, and developers to contribute to real-world automotive programs. This position is based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and requires full-time, on-site attendance from May through August 2027. Interns receive mentorship from on-site professionals and participate in networking events and skill development workshops.
What you'll do#
- Create effective user experiences and design solutions while considering brand identity and consumer research.
- Develop graphical assets using 2D and 3D design tools.
- Communicate and present design concepts to colleagues and senior management.
- Provide user interface support for projects ranging from initial concept to production.
- Research and apply emerging technologies to design initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and developers.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in User Experience, Human Factors, HCI, Computer Science, Product Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Game Design, Film, or a related field.
- Completion of freshman year by Spring 2027 (sophomore year preferred by Summer 2027).
- A current portfolio in PDF format submitted with your application.
- Working knowledge of programs such as Alias, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional design intuition and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Leadership characteristics and a creative approach to problem-solving.
