About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Hydrogeology Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will support our groundwater professionals with environmental remediation and water resource projects. This full-time, on-site position involves assisting with hydrogeologic investigations, remedial design, and statistical analysis of groundwater data.
What you'll do#
- Compile and manage field data for project work.
- Use ESRI ArcGIS Pro for data analysis and visualization.
- Analyze and interpret environmental and groundwater data.
- Conduct geologic and hydrogeologic research.
- Collaborate with scientific and engineering professionals.
- Assist with technical report writing.
- Prepare data for groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling.
- Create soil boring logs and well construction diagrams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, geological engineering, geochemistry, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Pro, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude.
- Ability to analyze technical data, perform research, and solve problems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to present information in writing, verbally, and graphically.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- A motivated attitude and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
