Engineering Student – Power Delivery (Summer 2026) – 4 or 8 Month Term

About the role#

Stantec is seeking an Engineering Student to join the Power Delivery team for a 4 or 8-month summer term. This position offers hands-on experience working alongside practitioners on projects involving electrical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering. You will contribute to the design and management of infrastructure projects that support the energy sector.

What you'll do#

• Assist the power distribution design team with daily tasks, including the coordination of drawings and project details.
• Participate in design calculations and planning while ensuring compliance with relevant standards, codes, and regulations.
• Support the project management team by developing dashboards and Power BI reports.
• Monitor project milestones and actions while assisting with documentation control.
• Handle general duties and special projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program, specifically in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong self-motivation with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Excellent time-management skills with the capacity to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Word, Excel, and Power BI is considered an asset.
