Engineering Student – Power Delivery (Fall 2026) – 8 Month Term

About the role#

Stantec is seeking an Engineering Student to join the Power Delivery team for an 8-month term starting in the Fall of 2027. This position offers hands-on experience working alongside practitioners on projects involving electrical, civil, structural, and environmental engineering. The role is based in Vancouver and requires on-site attendance.

What you'll do#

• Assist the power distribution design team with daily tasks, including the coordination of drawings and project details.
• Participate in design calculations and the development of plans, ensuring all work complies with relevant standards, guidelines, and code requirements.
• Support the project management team by developing dashboards and Power BI reports.
• Track project actions and milestones while participating in document control.
• Handle general duties and special projects as directed by the team.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Engineering program (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical).
• Self-motivation with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Superior time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Project, Word, Excel, and Power BI is considered an asset.
