About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op student to join the Transportation and Infrastructure team in Rochester, New York. This position is available for the Spring and Summer of 2027. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to support civil and structural engineering projects, including traffic, planning, highway, and bridge design.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and reports.
- Perform computer aided design and drafting.
- Check drawings and calculations for accuracy.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and perform simple calculations.
- Carry out field inspections as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelors or Masters Engineering program.
- Good academic standing.
- Some exposure to CAD design programs.
Location & details#
- Location: Rochester, NY.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time role.
- Terms: Spring 2027 and Summer 2027.
- Environment: You will work in a typical office setting with computers, with some field work that may involve exposure to inclement weather.
