Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Co-op student for the Fall 2026 semester to join the New York City Civil team. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring a 40-hour weekly commitment. You will support a variety of projects, including roadways, parks, recreational spaces, waterfront developments, ADA accessibility, and transit facilities.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in the preparation of contract documents and reports.
- Perform computer-aided design and drafting tasks.
- Review drawings and technical calculations.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and perform simple design calculations.
- Participate in field inspections, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Civil Engineering program.
- Good academic standing in an accredited engineering school.
- Prior exposure to CAD design programs, specifically AutoCAD or Microstation.
- Preferred experience with Civil 3D, Bentley Inroads, or Openroads Designer.
