The Family Policy Analyst role is part of the Koch Associate Program, a career accelerator designed for professionals to tackle complex social challenges. This position focuses on researching, analyzing, and communicating on issues including child care, paid leave, and family economic security. The analyst will support the policy team by producing content that promotes flexible, family-centered solutions.
What you'll do#
- Monitor federal and state legislative and regulatory developments related to family policy.
- Draft policy papers, issue briefs, blog posts, and op-eds.
- Create and maintain resources to track key legislation and policy trends.
- Engage with stakeholders, families, and policy experts to inform organizational work.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support messaging, advocacy materials, and engagement campaigns.
- Work with government officials and coalitions regarding proposed legislation.
What you'll need#
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy into clear content.
- A strong interest in family policy, including child care and paid leave.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment without significant daily oversight.
- A self-directed work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Willingness to travel sporadically throughout the year.

- Location: Virginia (Remote).
- Commitment: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
