About the role#
SRF Consulting Group is seeking a Construction Engineering Intern to support our construction services team. This group manages municipal streets, utilities, highways, freeways, bridges, and trails. You will work under close supervision on routine tasks and assist our teams with ongoing projects. This position may include long hours and weekend work. This is a paid, full-time internship with the potential for future full-time employment upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine tasks following specific procedures.
- Assist with road construction inspection.
- Help construction inspection teams manage documentation.
- Support field crews with survey staking.
- Handle additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Progressing toward a BS in civil engineering, construction management, or a related 4-year degree.
- Alternatively, a two-year civil engineering technician degree or prior experience on a survey or construction crew.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods and work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to work the entire construction season is a plus.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
