Activities Intern

About the role#

The Moorings at Lewes is seeking an Activities Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This internship offers the opportunity to gain experience in a Life Plan Community, working across assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings.

What you'll do#

• Assist with planning and implementing activities, including games, crafts, music, exercise, socials, and special events.
• Encourage resident participation by engaging individuals and adapting activities to suit specific abilities and interests.
• Provide social interaction and companionship to residents.
• Support activity setup and cleanup, including material preparation and organizing activity spaces.
• Assist with tracking resident attendance and completing basic activity documentation.
• Contribute ideas for activity calendars and bulletin boards.
• Shadow staff during new admission activity assessments and room visits.
• Design and lead activities under staff supervision.

What you'll need#

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a college or university.
• Preferred fields of study include Psychology, Nursing, or Public Health.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Location: Lewes, Delaware.
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $19 per hour.
