About the role#
This is a paid summer internship for students pursuing a degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. You will work 35 to 40 hours per week while gaining experience in the natural gas industry. You will rotate through various engineering assignments to apply your classroom knowledge to real projects.
What you'll do#
- Rotate between different engineering assignments.
- Coordinate company facilities with proposed improvements and development by processing information from internal departments and external partners like municipalities and engineering firms.
- Prepare paperwork for gas main and service work, including utility agreements.
- Attend utility and pre-construction meetings to negotiate with representatives from municipalities and engineering firms.
- Review design and cost estimates for main and service work.
- Analyze delivery pressures and justify proposed main work.
- Research legacy asset information and reconcile company records and mapping.
What you'll need#
- You must be an undergraduate rising junior, senior, or graduate student in the fall of 2027 pursuing an engineering degree.
- A cumulative 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong ethics, integrity, and a commitment to a safe work environment.
