About the role#
The Travel Products Customer Experience Operations Intern supports the Getaways by Southwest business. You will work with subject matter experts, operations leaders, and in-market consultants to understand the vacation experience. This role focuses on using data to improve operational processes and customer satisfaction. You will manage projects from planning through execution and finish your internship by presenting your findings to department leaders.
What you'll do#
- Analyze post-trip survey feedback to spot recurring customer themes and friction points.
- Use the Unwrap platform and other reporting tools to interpret customer sentiment data.
- Develop a long-term framework for managing customer feedback.
- Create a 30/60/90-day action plan to address experience opportunities.
- Identify trends that suggest a need for hotel audits, supplier reviews, or operational changes.
- Support recommendations for customer recovery and service enhancements.
- Present your final recommendations to business stakeholders and operations leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Progress toward a degree in fields such as Business, Marketing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Communications, Economics, Computer Science, or related areas.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and work well within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid U.S. Social Security Number.
- Experience with Excel, Outlook, Access, 5S, or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
- Interest in aviation or previous leadership experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship located on-site at our Dallas, Texas headquarters.
- The program runs for 12 weeks from May 18, 2027, to August 8, 2027.
- You will work 40 hours per week during business hours.
- Interns receive free, unlimited space-available travel privileges.
