About the role#
This is a 10-week summer internship program focused on banking operations and risk management. You will work alongside banking professionals to gain hands-on experience with the loan lifecycle. The program includes workshops, training sessions, and networking events designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the field.
What you'll do#
- Support Loan Operations functions such as loan boarding, servicing, and collateral management.
- Assist with customer and lender support, along with operational risk and controls.
- Perform data analytics, due diligence on platforms, and document reviews.
- Collaborate with operations managers, analysts, and team leaders on business initiatives.
- Complete mandatory new hire compliance training and orientation.
- Manage your daily tasks with attention to detail to meet project deadlines.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Preference for rising seniors graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- A proactive mindset with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
Location & details#
- Location: Charleston, South Carolina.
- Modality: This position is primarily on-site, with some opportunity for remote work.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- This is a paid internship. Sponsorship is not available.
