About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship program for Summer 2027. You will join the IT Business Office to support technology operations, financial planning, and project management. The program includes workshops, training sessions, and mentorship from experienced IT professionals. You will gain exposure to banking technology processes and contribute to strategic initiatives, including the company AI program.
What you'll do#
- Support IT portfolio tracking, governance, and status reporting.
- Assist with IT finance activities, such as invoice tracking and spend analysis.
- Collect, analyze, and report project and operational metrics.
- Develop presentations, business cases, and leadership-ready materials.
- Research AI solutions and assist in the intake, evaluation, and prioritization process.
- Support Technology Service Provider oversight.
- Collaborate with IT leaders and project teams on ongoing processes.
- Participate in mandatory compliance training and orientation.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate status in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or Project Management.
- Preference for rising seniors graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.
- A 3.4 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- An analytical and creative mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
- Experience or exposure to Visio, Power BI, Power Automate, SharePoint, or Power Query is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbia, South Carolina.
- Modality: This position is hybrid, with remote work and occasional on-site days required.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
