About the role#
This internship offers an immersive experience within the drama development team, covering the lifecycle of projects from initial pitch to series production. You will gain exposure to the creative process by working alongside writers, directors, and producers. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 10 to 29 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Read and analyze incoming material and scripts currently in development.
- Write script coverage and compile research on properties for potential option.
- Support the drama team through daily interaction and administrative tasks, including rolling calls and taking notes during meetings.
- Schedule meetings with key leaders and producers in the creative and production industries.
- Update status reports for all series.
- Develop professional skills required for an assistant role on an entertainment desk.
- Attend development meetings, production meetings, table reads, casting sessions, and pitch meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in film, television, communications, media studies, English, journalism, or philosophy.
- A creative mindset and a strong passion for television.
- An ambitious and proactive personality with a good eye for creative work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
