About the role#
The Drama Development Intern will work closely with the drama team at Sony Pictures Television. This role provides exposure to the entire development process, from initial pitches and scripts to casting and pilot production. Interns gain hands-on experience in the creative and production aspects of the entertainment industry while working in a professional, collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Read and analyze incoming material and scripts currently in development.
- Compile research on properties for potential options.
- Write coverage on scripts and update status reports for series.
- Schedule meetings with key leaders and producers in the creative and production industries.
- Interact with the drama team daily, including rolling calls and taking notes during meetings.
- Gain exposure to development and production meetings, table reads, and casting sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university for the duration of the internship.
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in film, TV, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, Art, or Business Administration.
- A proactive, ambitious personality with a creative bent and a passion for television.
- A strong eye for creative content and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Location: Culver City, California.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 8 or 14 through December 11, 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site, part-time (10-29 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an anticipated base salary of $19 per hour.
