About the role#
Soccer Shots is looking for interns for the Fall 2026 term to help run our youth soccer program. This role balances time between the field and the office. You will lead soccer sessions for children ages 18 months to 8 years and assist with the administrative side of a youth sports franchise. The position requires a commitment of 30 or more hours per week, including weekend availability.
What you'll do#
- Lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for children at local schools and parks.
- Support marketing initiatives and business operations from the office.
- Assist with community events.
- Participate in both online and in-person training.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A passion for working with children and promoting fitness.
- Prior experience working with children is preferred.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
- Reliable transportation to commute to our office and various coaching sites.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Psychology, Communications, or Kinesiology.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Bowie, Maryland.
- The work is hybrid, split between on-site coaching and office tasks.
- The internship runs from August 17 to December 4, 2026.
