About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in youth sports management. You will split your time between coaching soccer sessions and supporting office-based tasks. The role is designed for those who want to learn the day-to-day operations of a sports franchise while working with children ages 18 months to 8 years old.
What you'll do#
- Lead fun and engaging soccer sessions at preschools, schools, and community centers.
- Support marketing initiatives and business operations at the office.
- Assist with community events.
- Participate in both online and in-person training.
What you'll need#
- A desire to impact children through sports and fitness.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured personal vehicle.
- Reliable transportation to the Burtonsville office and various coaching sites.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Prior experience working with children is preferred, though soccer experience is not required.
- Students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Psychology, Communications, or Kinesiology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- Location: Catonsville, Maryland, with travel required to the Burtonsville office and coaching sites.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 17 to December 4).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (50% on-field coaching and 50% office and events).
- Commitment: 30+ hours per week, including weekend availability.
- Compensation: Paid position.
