About the role#
Soccer Shots is looking for interns for the Fall 2026 term to support youth soccer development. This is a paid, full-time position that balances hands-on coaching with office-based business support. You will spend roughly half your time leading soccer sessions on the field and the other half supporting marketing, operations, and community events. It is a chance to gain experience in both youth sports instruction and the day-to-day operations of a sports franchise.
What you'll do#
- Lead fun and engaging soccer sessions for children ages 18 months to 8 years.
- Assist with various marketing initiatives and business operations tasks.
- Support community events to help grow the program.
- Work in a hybrid format that includes both office tasks and on-site coaching.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in impacting children through sports and fitness.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license and access to an insured, personal vehicle.
- Reliable transportation to travel between the office and coaching sites.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred, though prior soccer experience is not required.
- Students pursuing degrees in Marketing, Business Administration, or Kinesiology are encouraged to apply.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Bowie and Burtonsville, Maryland.
- The internship runs from August 17, 2026, through December 4, 2026.
- You must be available to work at least 30 hours per week, including weekends.
