About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to help lead youth soccer sessions. This role involves working with children to provide a positive experience on the field. You will work 10-15 hours per week on a schedule tailored to your availability. The position operates year-round with seasonal terms lasting 8 to 11 weeks.
What you'll do#
- Lead Soccer Shots coaching sessions lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Run demo classes at new or prospective locations.
- Support staff development by assisting with evaluations, reviews, and coach training meetings.
- Review the curriculum and provide feedback on lesson plans.
- Represent the team at community events like open houses and back-to-school nights.
- Assist with seasonal marketing tasks, such as distributing flyers and yard signs.
What you'll need#
- Reliable personal transportation and your own vehicle.
- A laptop with a stable internet connection.
- Ability to work independently, as this role involves limited in-person contact with the rest of the team.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A self-regulating and motivated approach to your work.
