About the role#
This internship provides exposure to small business operations within a successful franchise system. You will gain experience in the planning, marketing, and management aspects of a youth athletic program. The role involves a mix of administrative tasks and on-field coaching, with a focus on delivering soccer sessions to children ages 2 to 8. This is a paid, full-time position for students interested in business, marketing, operations, communications, or kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the execution of the Soccer Shots season.
- Coach youth soccer sessions throughout the season.
- Plan and run a free clinic for the community.
- Manage administrative tasks including data entry, preparing marketing documents, and creating promotional materials.
- Support sales efforts by running demos and attending promotional events.
- Coordinate with center directors and assist with social media content creation.
- Prepare and maintain equipment and gear for instructors.
- Help prepare for instructor training meetings.
- Participate in staff meetings, regional meetings, and Director Round Table discussions.
- Complete video or photo projects as assigned.
- Submit a final report regarding your internship experience.
