About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to support our youth programs in the Pittsburgh North region. This role involves direct interaction with children on the field and administrative support for our coaching operations. You will work 10 to 15 hours per week on a schedule tailored to your availability. This position is suitable for someone who works well independently, as much of our team coordination happens remotely.
What you'll do#
- Lead a set number of Soccer Shots sessions each week.
- Run demo classes at new and prospective locations.
- Support staff evaluations and reviews.
- Assist with seasonal coach training meetings.
- Provide feedback and evaluation of lesson plans.
- Represent Soccer Shots Pittsburgh at community events.
- Partake in seasonal marketing efforts, including flyer and yard sign distribution.
What you'll need#
- Reliable personal transportation to travel to various locations.
- A laptop with reliable internet access for remote communication.
- A motivated and self-regulating approach to work.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Location & details#
- This role is based in McCandless, Pennsylvania, with sessions held in areas such as Gibsonia, Mars, Cranberry, Allison Park, Wexford, and West View.
- This is a part-time, on-site internship.
- The position is paid for coaching sessions, with non-coaching duties remaining unpaid. We are happy to work with your school if you are seeking academic credit.
