About the role#
Soccer Shots Pittsburgh is looking for coaching interns to help lead sessions for children. This role involves a mix of on-field coaching and administrative support. You will work 10 to 15 hours per week depending on your availability and performance. Schedules are consistent for the duration of each 8 to 11 week season. While coaching sessions are paid, non-coaching duties are unpaid, though we can work with your school if you are seeking academic credit.
What you'll do#
- Lead Soccer Shots sessions and run demo classes at new locations.
- Support the Director of Coaching and Coaching Coordinator with staff evaluations and training.
- Help prepare for seasonal coach training meetings.
- Review lesson plans and provide regular feedback.
- Represent the organization at community events like open houses or school nights.
- Assist with marketing efforts by distributing flyers and yard signs.
What you'll need#
- A reliable personal vehicle for travel to various locations.
- A laptop with a stable internet connection.
- Ability to stay motivated, organized, and communicative while working independently.
- A self-regulating approach to work, as you will have limited in-person contact with the team.

- This is an on-site role based in Irwin, Pennsylvania, with travel to other locations in the region.
- The position is part-time and operates on a rolling basis throughout the year.
- Compensation is structured per session, with specific rates for Head Coaches and Coaches-in-training.
