About the role#
Smarty is looking for a Product Management Intern to join our team in Orem, Utah. This is a paid, part-time role for students running from January 2027 through mid-August 2027. You will work on-site at our office for a minimum of 15 hours per week during the winter and spring, with increased hours available during the summer. You will assist our product team in researching user needs, managing the product roadmap, and guiding features from initial concept to launch.
What you'll do#
- Research user needs and market trends to help inform product decisions.
- Translate customer requirements into clear, detailed specifications for our engineering team.
- Partner with the marketing team to support product messaging and launch plans.
- Work with engineering, UX, and data teams to track feature progress and ensure quality.
- Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate how products perform.
- Create product training materials and provide sales support.
- Participate in company cultural initiatives and apply those principles to your daily work.
- Have fun and engage with your co-workers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Product Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Interest or coursework in product management, business strategy, or technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with data to support your decisions and recommendations.
- An analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with location intelligence data, GIS, address validation, or geocoding is a plus.
