The Inventory Specialist Intern supports daily parts room operations by maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing materials, and ensuring the timely availability of components. This position offers hands-on experience in supply chain and warehouse management.
What you'll do#
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming parts and materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Track inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Pick, pack, and stage parts for internal or customer use.
- Update inventory records in internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and service teams.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift/carry items up to 30–50 lbs.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with frequent bending, reaching, and stooping.
