About the role#
Slate Auto is hiring a Body Structures Intern to join our team in Troy, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role. You will support the development of body in white structures and work on the design of body system components.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop body system components and complete assemblies.
- Set and implement functional objectives to hit project performance targets.
- Manage body component development, covering performance, cost, mass, timing, and manufacturability.
- Coordinate between internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to meet project requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Strong communication and team building skills.
- Experience or interest in integrating sub-systems into body structures.
