About the role#
Skydweller is seeking an intern to support the development of an Agentic AI system for flight operations and optimization of long-endurance unmanned aircraft systems. You will work alongside aerospace, software, and AI engineers to design and prototype a system that analyzes flight-test telemetry, weather data, and mission constraints. This role is a mentored R&D experience that progresses from AI fundamentals to the implementation and validation of a functional prototype.
What you'll do#
- Develop Python-based tools and AI workflows using modern software development practices and Git version control.
- Assist with data preparation, system testing, and validation activities.
- Document code, workflows, and system architecture, and write activity reports.
- Participate in agile development cycles, design reviews, and technical discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled graduate or upper-level undergraduate student in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Python programming.
- Status as a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder).
- Enrollment at an Oklahoma college or university, or CareerTech student concurrently enrolled in college-level coursework.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as LLMs or Deep Learning, or data processing, is preferred.
- Prior participation in R&D projects, particularly in AI agents, aerospace, or meteorology, is a plus.
