About the role#
Interns work closely with Jasper account teams to help craft and execute communications strategies. This position offers exposure to the fundamentals of public relations and media relations. Participants will engage in the firm's professional development curriculum and have opportunities to network with professionals in the industry.
What you'll do#
- Support 5-6 client teams with daily tasks including media monitoring and notetaking during meetings.
- Develop and share daily press clips.
- Conduct research and analyze diverse client issues and industry trends.
- Create press lists of reporters, editors, producers, and bookers.
- Prepare briefs for client media, speaking opportunities, and meetings.
- Draft materials such as press releases, social media content, and pitches.
- Support marketing and operations by developing agency social content, maintaining event calendars, and assisting with business development proposals.
What you'll need#
- Interest in campaigns, politics, media, advertising, or digital communications.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Current enrollment or background in Communications, Political Science, Journalism, or Marketing.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Modality: This is a full-time, on-site position requiring presence in the office three days per week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
- Compensation: The wage for this position is $18.40 per hour, with opportunities for overtime when needed.
