About the role#
SingerLewak LLP is hiring a Tax Intern for our Bremerton office. This is a part-time, paid position with a hybrid work schedule. Interns work on a variety of accounting assignments under the guidance of our professional staff. We evaluate performance based on the quality of your work and your ability to meet project deadlines.
What you'll do#
- Record transactions in ledgers and prepare trial balances and simple financial statements.
- Reconcile accounts to control accounts.
- Perform schedule computations for accruals and property and equipment.
- Calculate depreciation expense.
- Prepare payroll tax, sales tax, and certain personal income tax returns.
- Assist with audit or review procedures as assigned.
- Compile workpapers and accounting reports for audits.
- Handle other accounting and tax duties as needed for client engagements.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma.
- At least two years of progress toward a bachelor degree, typically in accounting.
