About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional newsroom. Interns will contribute to storytelling across broadcast and digital platforms while developing skills in modern journalism. This is a paid, on-site position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist in researching, writing, and producing news stories for broadcast and digital platforms.
- Work alongside reporters, anchors, producers, and photographers in the newsroom and in the field.
- Pitch fresh story ideas and help shape coverage.
- Learn to shoot video and frame compelling visuals.
- Gain exposure to control room operations and the production of live broadcasts.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be at least a sophomore enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate, at an accredited college or university.
- Relevant fields of study include Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, Political Science, or English.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
- Must have reliable transportation.
