    About the role#

    WRGB CBS6 is seeking interns for the News Department. This role is designed for students planning and preparing for a career in news or news production who are looking to gain hands-on experience in a broadcast environment.

    What you'll do#

    • Interact with newsroom professionals across all levels of the organization.
    • Gain exposure to the daily news process, starting from morning pitch sessions.
    • Develop community-impactful stories for distribution across multiple platforms.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment at an accredited college or university, majoring in mass communications, journalism, or a related field.
    • Ability to receive academic credit for the internship.
    • Availability to work 10-20 hours per week, including some weekends.
    • Minimum age of 18.
    • Reliable transportation.

    • Location: Schenectady, New York.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
