About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work on real projects that impact the organization. You will spend the summer balancing a primary project with daily tasks to gain a practical understanding of poultry retail marketing and process fundamentals. You will engage with cross-functional teams and present your final project to senior leadership at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Develop and present a solution-oriented project that aligns with your major.
- Participate in daily operational tasks to learn core business processes.
- Help build a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste.
- Attend team meetings and coordinate with colleagues to implement best practices.
- Maintain familiarity with company operating systems, including quality, security, and office protocols.
- Support business objectives by performing necessary tasks as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Agriculture.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds.
- Willingness to work in various temperatures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing or the poultry industry is preferred.
