About the role#
This internship offers the chance to work on real projects that impact the organization. You will build relationships across departments and gain experience in plant operations. The role balances project work with daily tasks to help you understand fundamental processes.
What you'll do#
- Solve real-world problems through project work that aligns with your major.
- Present your findings to team members and senior leaders at the end of the summer.
- Perform daily tasks to learn how the facility operates.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture to reduce waste.
- Maintain performance standards that meet USDA, FDA, and facility guidelines.
- Work on your feet for multiple hours and lift at least 10 pounds.
- Wear required personal protective equipment while in the facility.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Agriculture, or Supply Chain Management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to use computers and standard software programs.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- Willingness to lead, take charge, and offer direction.
