About the role#
This internship offers a chance to work on projects that impact Simmons Foods. You will gain experience through a mix of assigned project work and daily operational tasks. The program encourages you to build relationships across departments while focusing on your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Complete a solution-seeking project that applies your academic skills to a real-world problem.
- Present your findings and project outcomes to team members and senior leadership at the end of the summer.
- Perform daily tasks to learn the fundamentals of our processes.
- Help develop, communicate, and implement team concepts, programs, and policies.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying ways to reduce waste and refine processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree program in Business Administration, Marketing, Nutrition, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of business and management principles.
- A willingness to lead, take charge, and offer your own opinions and direction.
- Ability to work on your feet for multiple hours, work in various temperatures, and lift at least 10 pounds.

- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
