About the role#
Sigma is looking for Software Engineering Interns to join our engineering team for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on production features, experiment with new prototypes, and help scale our technical solutions. Throughout the program, you will partner with an engineering mentor and collaborate across teams including product design, management, and sales to deliver solutions for our users.
What you'll do#
- Own a development project from ideation through implementation.
- Build and extend large Single Page Applications.
- Learn how backend systems scale to handle billions of data points.
- Develop automated unit tests and document your work.
- Deploy features and analyze customer metrics to improve the product.
- Optimize the performance of specific product components.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a university undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S. with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Operating Systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects independently.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, 12-week, on-site internship.
- You must be able to commit to 40 hours per week.
- Locations: San Francisco, California or New York, New York.
- This position is paid.
