About the role#
As an AI/ML PhD Intern, you will join a team building the AI foundation for our data platform. You will work on projects that directly impact how thousands of enterprises interact with their data. We are looking for researchers who want to apply their expertise to real-world business and data challenges.
What you'll do#
- Conduct original AI/ML research in areas such as search, recommendations, natural language processing, and agentic workflows.
- Prototype and productionize AI systems that are intuitive for users.
- Solve UX problems at the intersection of AI, analytics, and data applications.
- Contribute to scalable AI/ML infrastructure for the experimentation, training, and evaluation of large-scale models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD program studying AI/ML at a U.S. accredited university.
- Deep understanding of machine learning, including deep learning algorithms, model architectures, and optimization.
- Baseline experience building and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems.
- Knowledge of the full ML lifecycle, including data curation, training, deployment, and monitoring.
- A desire to bridge research and application by bringing new AI concepts into production.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in San Francisco, California.
