About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work on production features and learn how to engineer large, scalable systems. You will experiment, prototype, and implement features that help our global user base analyze data. You will partner with an engineering mentor and collaborate with teams across the business, including Product Designers, Product Managers, and Sales, to determine the best technical solutions. Interns take projects from ideation through implementation, iterating based on feedback, deploying features, and analyzing customer metrics.
What you'll do#
- Build production software and learn how large Single Page Applications are built and extended.
- Understand how backend systems scale to handle multiple customers and billions of data points while maintaining security.
- Own a development project from beginning to end.
- Develop automated unit tests and work with product owners and techpubs to document your work.
- Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to deliver solutions that improve the user experience.
- Optimize the performance of product components.
- Experiment, prototype, and implement new features.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a university undergraduate or graduate degree program in the U.S.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Pursuing at least a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced grasp of Operating Systems, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Solid project management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in-person in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY for the duration of the internship.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
