About the role#
As a Systems Engineer I, you will apply foundational skills to support our mission solutions and technologies team. You will work on requirements engineering, systems integration, and Verification and Validation (V&V) tasks. This role focuses on learning and growth within the field while contributing to project tasks under supervision. You will collaborate with team members to support system analysis, technical planning, and risk management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with basic requirements engineering, systems integration, V&V, and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tasks.
- Support system and decision analysis, technical planning, and risk management under supervision.
- Contribute to architecture and design development, technical monitoring, and lifecycle management activities.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with your project team.
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and grow within the engineering field.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in systems engineering.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, practices, and systems modeling and simulation tools.
- Familiarity with multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Conceptual knowledge of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, and systems design.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Preferred: Internship or cooperative education experience in systems engineering.
- Preferred: Experience with tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or MATLAB.
- Preferred: Knowledge of INCOSE standards or ASEP certification.
