About the role#
We are looking for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team for a full-time work term during the Winter 2027 season. This is a paid position based on-site in Toronto, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and project schedules.
- Develop feasibility studies, functional plans, and designs for highways, roads, and intersections.
- Conduct area transportation studies, traffic operations and parking demand investigations, and site impact analyses.
- Perform engineering calculations for the design of municipal infrastructure.
- Prepare grading and servicing plans for land development projects.
- Create sanitary and storm design sheets along with erosion and sedimentation control plans.
- Help prepare contract specifications, tender packages, and permit applications.
- Review plot plans for houses and provide regular progress status reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for civil or environmental engineering.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to integrity, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, or ArcGIS is an asset.
- Prior experience with transportation studies or functional servicing reports is a plus.
