About the role#
This is a paid, part-time pharmacy internship at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Salaberry De Valleyfield. You will gain hands-on experience in a community pharmacy setting to prepare for your future career as a pharmacist. This role involves learning the practical skills required to manage a retail pharmacy while working directly with patients and healthcare professionals.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers as they enter the pharmacy.
- Ensure all privacy requirements are met, including patient confidentiality and consent management.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Engage in hands-on community pharmacy practice.
- Counsel patients on over-the-counter products, disease management, and medication treatments.
- Learn the operational skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy.
