About the role#

This is a part-time, hourly pharmacy student position at a Shoppers Drug Mart location in Edmonton, Alberta. The role provides practical experience in a community pharmacy setting, designed to prepare students for future professional roles by integrating real-world training with academic studies.

What you'll do#

• Engage with customers approaching the pharmacy and provide an exceptional shopping experience.
• Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent requirements at all times.
• Enhance communication skills by interacting with patients, healthcare workers, and pharmacy staff.
• Learn about over-the-counter (OTC) products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
• Develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
• Remain clearly identifiable to the public while assisting with health, beauty, and convenience services.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a relevant program, such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
