About the role#

This position offers practical experience for students pursuing careers in pharmacy within a community setting. You will work in a locally owned and operated store, gaining exposure to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy while supporting the delivery of health, beauty, and convenience services.

What you'll do#

• Provide an exceptional shopping experience and keep customers at the center of your work.
• Acknowledge all customers approaching the pharmacy and ensure they are served promptly.
• Maintain strict adherence to all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management.
• Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
• Learn about the expanding roles of community pharmacists, including disease state management and patient counseling.
• Develop skills in managing a retail pharmacy, including knowledge of OTC products and drug therapy.
• Enhance communication skills by interacting with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
• A commitment to preparing for a successful career in a community pharmacy setting.

• Compensation: $22.00 – $28.75 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
