About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students within a community retail setting. You will work under a local business owner while gaining exposure to the daily operations of a pharmacy. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic studies and real world practice.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Improve your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care workers.
- Build your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, drug therapy, and patient counseling.
- Develop the skills needed to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a pharmacy program.
- Ability to work in a retail environment.
- A focus on providing a positive experience for pharmacy customers.
