About the role#
This position offers practical experience for pharmacy students in a community retail setting. You will work in a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, gaining real world training to support your academic studies. The role focuses on developing your skills in patient interaction, drug therapy, and pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Engage in community pharmacy practice to support patient health.
- Improve your communication skills with patients, staff, and other health care professionals.
- Build your knowledge of OTC products, disease state management, and patient counseling.
- Learn the operational skills required to manage a retail pharmacy.
