Pharmacy Intern, Hourly Part Time Flexible Shifts

About the role#

This is a part-time, hourly pharmacy internship located in Calgary, Alberta. The role provides practical, real-world training in a community pharmacy setting, designed to prepare students for future careers in pharmacy. Interns will gain exposure to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy while working under the guidance of a local Associate-Owner.

What you'll do#

• Acknowledge and assist all customers who approach the pharmacy.
• Provide an exceptional service experience for pharmacy customers.
• Ensure all privacy requirements, including customer confidentiality and consent management, are strictly met.
• Maintain clear visibility to the public while on duty.
• Participate in practical training focused on the evolving role of the community pharmacist.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Biomedical Sciences.
• Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products.
• Understanding of disease state management and drug therapy principles.
• Ability to apply patient counseling skills effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
